Child Safety and Online Dangers Meeting Disaster
"Child Safety"
A child was discovered after missing for eight months beneath a bridge in Unknown, Maryland. The child was lured into meeting the perpetrator offline. The child was Internet savvy, yet failed to adhere to child safety rules while on the
Internet. To date the predator who committed this crime has not been caught. We are asking for help in the search to get this person off the streets. What a sad incident!
While this is only a hypothesis story to get your attention, it breaks my heart to tell you that things such as this, happens everyday. Keep your child safe!
Children nowadays are smarter than parents most times on the computers are. Children today know their way around the Internet better than most adults do. Internet providers have provided tools for parents to safeguard them, yet often these tools are a waste of time, since most children know how to reset the settings.
Children are curious and eager to learn. Children at a young age are developing into adults. These children while developing have needs and wants to need to be met. It does needs and some of the wants are not met, likely, that child will seek attention from anyone that will give attention. Now I can sit here all day long and tell you about tools and strategies to protect your child, yet if you are not filling your child’s needs and some of the wants, all the information I make available to you will serve as no purpose.
The Internet offers children and area to chat with friends, e-mail friends, search information, get assistance with homework, and travel the large highway known as the Internet through browsers. On this major highway are people from the entire world doing the same thing your child is doing, get some of these people are out to cause harm. Some of these people include pedophiles, Cyber Stalkers, hackers, bullies, and so on, in the downside is even murderers and serial killers will use the Internet to capture, imprison, and steal a life!
Are your children listening to you? Are your children getting attention they need so that they will listen to you? It is important that the answer to these questions is yes; otherwise, your child may be in danger.
Steal, if you are barking out rules, you’d better be setting the examples with your own conduct, otherwise your child will not listen, nor will he or she feel that adequate attention exists. One of the fatal mistakes that adults make, is telling children that something is bad without telling them why it is bad, or worse, telling the children something is bad, while conform to the behaviors they are claiming to be bad.
The excuse is often, I am an adult I can do what I want, and you are a child and will listen to me. What a major, major mistake!
Of course as adults, we have more privileges then children do, and these privileges should be explained thoroughly. These privileges doesn’t include engaging in wrongful activities, or listing to and/or viewing harmful materials, including images and content that pose threats to our minds. Therefore, if you want to protect your child learn the rules of the moral laws and follow them yourself, as you set up standards that you and your child can both meet. Do this for you, do this for me because I care about you and your child, but most importantly do this for your child.
The story under headlines is fabricated, and not intended to cause anyone harm, only make them see how essential it is to abide by rules. A similar incident may have took place in the world, however is not to my awareness that this is true, therefore this story is entirely fabricated, utilized as a hypothesis.
