Wonderful and helpful book,
I bought this kindle book because we needed a gate to hold back our dachshunds from our kitchen. It was interesting using plans from a Kindle, but I was able to read the figures and pictures very clearly. And, every step is broken down, and you are prompted to record important measurements for cutting, which you can take to your garage where your tools are. We built the gate, and it looks very good. We decided to keep it simple, and used a wipe-on poly finish, like it suggested, for a nice sheen. It goes into a lot of detail about how to create more elegant finishes if you want. The slats go deep into the top and bottom of the gate, which is what really makes this gate different from the compression gates. It can really hold back a determined pooch and withstand being jostled. Our installation area was a little unusual, because we had a kitchen cabinet on one side, but we followed the suggestions for mounting between two walls, and it worked out great. Very useful book.
