I “used” this book for one day…there is simply too much to fill-out that really doesn’t make pregnancy/labor/delivery any more helpful. The only thing I might use (if anything at all) is the hospital checklist (but there’s probably one in my other books anyway). If you like tracking every minute detail of your pregnancy and delivery in yet another place, then consider this book. Otherwise, buy a real journal instead.

Fun journal. I would recommend it to a lady planning to conceive. It navigates one to pick an obstetrician, etc. Very helpful in that manner. (I on the other hand bought it later; it’s O.K., not as great as I expected).

I got this for my third child. I was acutally looking for a pregnancy journal that I could keep by months or weeks, not daily. Most of the journals that I checked out required daily entries which is almost impossible with two little boys. I figured If I get an organizer, I might be able to keep a good record that I can actually keep. Well, this is filled with great informations and plenty of space for interviews to choose Obstetrician, midwife, pediatrician, daycare arrangement; detailed shopping list to prepare for the baby; space for childbirth class notes; checklist for the delivery; and even the essential first week’s worth of feeding and diapering record charts. This would’ve been a great thing if I got it for my first born. But I already know which obstetrician and pediatrician to go to, I already own lots of baby stuff, etc. Even though this is a great book, this didn’t meet my need. I should’ve gotten the ‘The Belly Book’ by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.

While I like the idea of the planner, I felt that it wasn’t very well made. The cover is flimsy and seems that after nine months could become easily damaged. I also felt like it was difficult to written in because of the akward binding and cover. I also didn’t feel like there was enough room in the area to record items that need to be purchased, there wasnt enough room to compare products only to write which products I had decided on.

I would not recommend this planner.

I am pregnant with my second child and thought I would get a different organizer than I had with my first pregnancy. This one is very thorough for first time moms- with sections for interviewing doctors, midwives, shopping for baby, etc. Since I don’t need most of that this time around there are a lot of pages that just take up space. The thing I DO need it DOESN’T have- room for daily notes, calls to the doctor/nurse, and a good amount of space for questions/answers at the prenatal check-ups. There are four tiny lines for questions and three tiny lines for answers. And ZERO extra notes pages. I have massive post-it piles stuck to each page with conversation notes from the nurse that called, about my NVP medication, etc. It’s annoying. I’m disappointed in the size too- it will fit in your purse if you carry a BIG purse. (My first pregnancy I used the “What to Expect When You’re Expecting Pregnancy Journal”- lots of room for notes and tiny to fit in a regular purse.)
