There must be something better out there,
This book has some good information, I just wish it were organized differently. You have to search the whole book and read through each section to find out what they should be doing at what age. I would prefer it be arranged by age rather than developmental category (motor, sensory, mental, etc.). Within the chapters they have it broken down into age (by months), but this makes me have to go through the book chapter by chapter to find out what he should be doing at 3 months, 6 months, etc. It makes more sense to break it down by month and then have the sub-categories of development (motor, sensory, etc.).

|A “Must Have” Resource for New Parents,
My wife and I purchased several books focused on childhood development and this one was our favorite. The fact that the publication is backed by the Am. Academy of Pediatrics gave us confidence that the information was accurate, well researched and up to date. Plus, we liked the format because it allowed us to focus specifically on areas we were concerned about with our son’s development and skip those areas he was comfortably mastering – a bonus given we both have busy schedules.
